Getting back to life…
I don’t really like the title of this post but it seems like the right thing to say. When something suddenly happens and takes you off guard things seem kind of blurry and you feel out of it. Then one day you have to make the conscious decision that you need to start paying attention and get back to the flow of your life. Things are getting better everyday. Carolina is starting to be able to eat more foods and chew stuff up. Her arm is healing and she will start physical therapy next week to get the mobility back in it. I’m still sore as hell which is shocking to me. The paramedics said it would take a few days to feel better, but I seem to find a new ache or pain in a muscle that I didn’t know I had each day. But you know I feel very grateful. Things are good. Anyways. We had an amazing weekend and Saturday while we were driving to go snorkeling we noticed some police cars and people standing on a seawall. Being curios little buggers we busted a U-turn and went to go check it out. Turns out 24 cuban refugees had just come on shore. Freedom it was for them. I jumped out of the car and snapped off a few shots. One of which made it into the Miami Herald. So I welcome our new friends to America. I don’t think they could have picked a nicer day to come. Enjoy.
