I know, I know. It’s been weeks since I’ve posted, Lunch Breaks or “Takes” have been none existent, wedding season doesn’t start for a couple monthsa, and I have been busy on some other projects. but I’m trying. I recently started taking morning walks with Carolina and Kai and have been taking my camera along. Now let’s be real. I live in the suburbs. In fact in the center of commercialism. Within a rocks throw of my house we have. IKEA, Walmart, Circuit CIty, Best Buy, Petsmart, Pet Supermarket, 2 Publix, The Worlds Biggest Outlet Mall and every other retail chain known to man. Anyways back from my rant. I don’t live in a cool neighborhood in New York with old buildings with character. I live in a cookie cutter neighborhood with SUVS, and more palm trees than an episode of Miami Vice. So I challenge myself to come up with something interesting. Enjoy. This post I’ve added some thoughts on the shots. I’d love some feedback so feel free to comment below.

This shot reminds me of a shot Stephan took of a bench on the Brooklyn Bridge.

To me there is dialog in this shot going on between the parent acorns and the baby acorns. Must be the dad in me.

Kai can’t wait to get his hands on daddy’s expensive came

This shot takes me back to my first photography class 17 years ago. I shot this same shot on my first roll of TMAX 400 or was it TRI-X?

Carolina pointed out these bugs to me that fly stationary in one place right in front of you. Pain in the ass to shoot one in focus, but I got him in this one.

This shot to me looks like a spacey kind of sky and a moon lit meadow. It’s actually the reflection of the rising sun in the lake.

Would it be weird if they picked any color other then blue to paint this?

This shot is all about reflection. I love the texture of the water and the chrome letters reminiscent of me drawing chrome letters all over my folders in high school.

Squirrels are so funny to me. They just don’t bail when they see you. They are like little tough guys. “Are you look’n at me? Cause I don’t see anyone else here”
